Charles Edgley

Charles Edgley owns a 2007 Hardi 4400i Commander with a Twin Force 24m boom that features NORACs UC4+™ Spray Height Controller. He previously had one of NORAC's standard UC4 Spray Height Controller systems on a 2003 Hardi 4200 Commander Plus with a Twin Force 24m boom.

According to Mr. Edgley, "Our farm is on very undulating land and we wanted a system to take some of the stress out of spraying so we don't have to continuously alter the boom settings on the sprayer joystick. The NORAC has made the whole job much easier and we now find we can spray faster without worrying that the boom might hit the ground."

Greg Bliss

Greg Bliss farms near Stilton, Peterborough, UK and is the owner of a Berthoud Boxer II 3000R. The variable geometry booms on this self propelled sprayer are 28m wide. Greg recently installed one of NORAC's standard UC4™ Spray Height Control systems.

According to Mr. Bliss, "Different nozzles all produce different spray patterns. There is an optimal height for maximum deposition of spray; with our NORAC controller we can hit this optimum every time. This reduces drift and gives us the maximum return for all our applications, saving money and easing the job for the operator."

Peter Farrell

Peter & Sharnie Farrell from Pallamallawa, NSW, Australia recently purchased a new sprayer and had it fitted with the NORAC UC4™ Spray Height Control System. The sprayer is a Goldacres 3200 Crop Cruiser and has a 36m boom. Peter wrote us with his comments:

According to Mr. Farrell, "I used it for the first time yesterday in some hilly and contour country and was very happy. I would like to congratulate you guys. We use a lot of hi-tech gear (spot spray system, weather stations, auto steering, automatic boom section shut off) and this is the first hi-tech electronic system that I have ever had that has worked very well; in fact it worked better than expected from the time it was first turned on. I have been operating sprayers as a contractor for nearly 20 years and am extremely happy with the operation of the NORAC system."

Tony Parr

Tony Parr, a farmer near Lakenheath, Suffolk, UK, is the owner of a Bateman RB25 3000L. This self propelled sprayer has a 36m boom width with independent wing control. Tony was the first Bateman customer to test one of NORAC's UC4+™ Spray Height Control systems and is very pleased with his decision.

According to Mr. Parr, "The system makes a world of difference for my sprayer operator and basically relieves him from the stress of constant boom adjustments. A 36m boom can be difficult to control, especially in hilly terrain. We find that with the NORAC system we can spray faster and the system gives us the confidence that we are always spraying at the right height."
