Product Specialist - Canada

Title:  Product Specialist - Canada

Reports to:  Service & Aftermarket Sales Manager, North America

Located: Saskatoon, SK CA

Hours:  Monday – Friday


The Product Specialist will report to the Service & Aftermarket Sales Manager for North America and will have a primary focus on managing and growing NORAC’s aftermarket dealer base in Canada, as well as supporting NORAC’s OEM business and service activities. The goal of this position is to grow dealer sales by 15% annually.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Assumes primary management responsibility for assigned territory, including:

  • Meet with each dealer quarterly and report weekly on dealer visits. Work with existing dealers, to manage all aspects of the relationship between them and NORAC.
  • Prospect new dealers with the goal of adding new dealers to NORAC’s dealer base.
  • Visit each of the OEM’s dealers in the territory at least twice per year to encourage sales through the factory. If the OEM doesn’t have dealers, establish relationships with all OEM sales reps within the territory.
  • Interact with end users of OEM product (i.e. collecting customer testimonials, meeting at tradeshows, etc.).
  • Manage delivery of marketing resources to dealers, including brochures, promotional materials, tradeshow support, etc.
  • Attend tradeshows within the assigned territory and provide OEM and dealer support before and during the show (i.e. delivering marketing material, answering questions, providing onsite support).
  • Ensure exemplary communication between NORAC and the customer.
  • Provide required sales forecasts for each assigned account.
  • Assist NORAC’s Service Department with phone and onsite technical support in the busy season.
  • Provide technical support and sales training to dealers.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of markets served by NORAC.
  • Experience with hydraulics and precision ag equipment is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate college degree preferred. 
  • 2-5 years outside technical and/or sales experience. 
  • Agricultural background preferred but not required.

Additional Information

  • Up to 50% annual travel is expected within North America.  May vary on a seasonal basis and based on customer needs.

OEM Account Engineer - Brazil


The OEM Account Engineer will report to the Business Development Manager - Canada and will have a primary focus of developing OEM accounts in Brazil.  This position will also serve as an engineering resource for NORAC in Brazil and will work closely with Agrosystem, NORAC’s distribution and service partner in Brazil. This position is located in Brazil.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with OEM accounts to manage all technical aspects of the relationship.
  • Carry out testing on NORAC equipment on sprayers and conduct test installations.
  • Act as the main engineering resource for NORAC in Brazil.
  • Troubleshoot and repair OEM service related issues.
  • Prepare test plans, technical documents and reports.
  • Facilitate and advance NORAC’s integration agenda with the OEM’s in Brazil by having a close working relationship with NORAC’s Engineers in Canada.
  • Ensure exemplary communication and documentation between NORAC and the customer.  This means properly documenting all meetings and communicating with every OEM contact and dealer.  Share the information with NORAC staff and supply meeting minutes to the customer within a reasonable period of time following the meeting.
  • Supply reports to management regularly including travel/work plans for next 2 weeks and meetings/results from previous week.
  • Attend tradeshows to meet with OEM customers/dealers and talk to end users.
  • Travel requirement is 50% - 75%.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:      

  • Strong knowledge of markets served by NORAC.
  • Experience with hydraulics, CAN BUS, ISO BUS, and precision ag equipment is an asset.
  • Account management aptitude and skills are a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate in Portuguese and English.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate college engineering degree required. 
  • Agricultural background preferred but not required.
